In This Section About the Center

Colorado Center for Hospice & Palliative Care is the result of a merger between Colorado Hospice Organization (founded May 1980) and Colorado Palliative Care Partnership (founded April 2004), effective January 1, 2008.

Vision:  That all Coloradans would live well at the end of life or in serious illness, and none would suffer needlessly.

Mission:  We work to increase access to palliative and hospice services and promote quality standards of care for all Coloradans.

Values:
1. Collaboration - Working in partnership with organizations, and as a port of the statewide community.
2. Advocacy - Educating and informing individuals, families, policy makers, and the professional community for quality end-of-life care.  We respect the right of individuals to make informed decisions, including declining treatment.
3. Access - Providing information about advance care planning and end-of-life services accessible to diverse populations across Colorado.
4. Comprehensive Care - Addressing care and support for the whole person, including physical, social, and spiritual concerns, and their family and friends and providing information about resources to meet these needs.
